Our family came to Discovery in 2019 and have felt blessed to call it home ever since. I grew up in Kansas and was ordained in a North American Baptist Church Plant in Hartford, SD. I love Biblical, Christ-centered preaching because it is God's word that grows the church.

Campus Missionary
I am Discovery's Elder Missionary to College Students and Director of Equip USD. I have been involved in college ministry for 21 years and love to help students grow in their faith, overcome some of the unique obstacles they face at college, and be prepared to live for Jesus for the rest of their lives after college. Equip primarily serves the SDSU and USD campuses. Equip focus on scripture based growth through in depth bible studies, discipleship, retreats, conferences and counseling. I am married to Erin and we have six children.

I’ve been a part of Discovery Church from the very beginning, March 2, 2014. My wife’s name is Kay and we have 2 daughters, Brittany and Tiffany and two grandchildren. I’m a semi-retired contractor, a weather and astronomy geek and love to fit puzzles.

My wife, Dawn and I, are among the original members of Discovery Church. I was a Pharmacist for 42 years and recently retired. I love woodworking, watching movies and reading to keep up with technology. You'll often see me on Sunday mornings behind the sound booth.

My family and I have been an active part of the life of Discovery church for many years. I teach science for Bloomfield Nebraska High School. Together, my wife, Kerrie, and I share a passion for helping people process grief in a Christ-centered way and, occasionally, lead 13 week Grief-Share small group studies. I began elder training and orientation in 2024.

My wife Carrie and our 6 children moved to South Dakota in 2022 to pursue pastoral training with the TPA program, which I am currently enrolled in. I began Eldership training in 2024.
Serving the church in various ways has been a joy for many years. I have assisted in ministry at various missions and church plants in Guatemala, South Africa, Pennsylvania, and Southern Colorado, as well as overseeing a prison ministry for 7 years. I own a home remodeling business and enjoy working with my boys and spending quality time with family.
